Assignment Brief

You are required to identify and develop a research topic within the field of psychology. The focus of this research should be on a latent dependent variable, which you will operationalize by designing a Likert scale for measurement. You will then conduct a comparison analysis of
this dependent variable across two distinct groups of participants.
You are required to design an online questionnaire using the designed Likert’s scale.

Please include at least one numerical variable and at least one categorical variable (with three or more sub-categories) to profile the participants. You will administer the online survey to a minimum of 30 participants. Their email addresses should be recorded for authentication.

The final delivery of the research is a 1,500-words academic report. This will be done in two parts:

• Individual Assignment 1: ‘Introduction’ section (500 words)

• Individual Assignment 2: Full report, including the ‘Introduction’ section (1,500 words) In this assignment, you are required to write an academic report on your research. You should include the following sections:

• Cover Page

• Abstract

• ‘Introduction’ – Just copy from Individual Assignment 1 and you may ignore the similarity percentage for this section.

• Method

• Results

• Discussion

• References

• Appendix

The report should be submitted in .pdf format in Canvas before the due date. Your report must include at least five references from academic research papers or textbooks, properly cited in APA format.
