Abstract
The purpose of the study is to investigate the impact of leadership styles
on followers’ motivation in the Johor Bahru hotel industry. There are different
leadership styles that will affect different follower’s motivation in the
organization. This study examines two independent variables which are
transformational leadership style and transactional leadership style that will
affect the two dependent variables which are intrinsic motivation and extrinsic
motivation.
The study is based on the paper survey forms, there are 100 sets of
questionnaires were prepared and distributed to the targeted respondents who are working in the non-management level in Johor Bahru hotel industry. The quantitative method included SPSS software and Excel which would be used to collect the data and analyze the final results.
