This assignment consists of TWO (2) parts. All parts are mandatory. Please review the instructions carefully.

Part 1 (Individual Report – Presentation Slides)

You are required to analyse Singapore and ONE (1) assigned Asian country from the list below for this coursework.

Note: Your assigned country may differ from your CW1 country.

Analyse the trending issues or challenges relating to labour practices and employment policies that the two Asian countries face.

Provide recommendations to overcome the trending issues or challenges that the two countries face.

Tips: You should include research evidence, tables, charts, graphs, or visual aids to support your evaluation and recommendations

Your final submission may include the points below but is not limited to them. You should look beyond them to see if it enhances your research and analysis.

Within the context of industrial relations, analyse the trending issues or challenges faced by the two Asian countries with comprehensive and appropriate examples and illustrations from your research findings.

• Identify the trending issues or challenges to the countries.
• Describe the impact of trending issues or challenges to the countries.
• Analyse the effectiveness of their Industrial Relations models in handling the situation.

Provide recommendations to overcome the trending issues or challenges that the two Asian countries faced:

• List the recommendations for the trending issues or challenges identified in Question A.
• Explain why the recommendations will work for each country.
• Analyse potential challenges associated with the implementation of these recommendations.

Part 2 (Reflection Journal)

Submit your individual reflection of around 500 (±10%) words where you will be covering on:

Important instructions:

• Please complete the declaration and answer the Group Coursework Assignment Final, Presentation Slides in the template attached below.

It must be submitted as Presentation Slides, with no more than 20 slides (excluding the cover slide, declaration page, and reference slide). Each group must include detailed explanations in the notes section of each slide. Please avoid using the comment function in PowerPoint for this purpose.

You are required to submit Coursework in ONE (1) PowerPoint file.

The total score for this Coursework (Part 1 and Part 2) is 40 marks, and this makes up 40% of the overall module coursework grade.

Assessment Components and Criteria

Late submissions

There will be no further extension of submission deadline. Late submission without Leave of Absence (LOA) will be subjected to the following penalty in Table 1: Table 1: Penalty for late submission

Academic Misconduct

Disciplinary action will be taken against students who are found to plagiarise, both the party who allow their work to be copied as well as those who represent or copy the work of another person as one’s own.

Disciplinary action will include, but not limited to, an outright failure for the coursework and downgrading of the module grade.

Any student suspected of academic misconduct will be reported to the Programme Coordinator, who will initiate disciplinary proceedings against the student.

AI-Assisted Assessment: Limited use of AI tools is permitted with proper citation

For this assessment, you may use artificial intelligence (AI) tools for research and checking grammar.

If you do use AI-generated content in your assessment task, you must acknowledge the use of the AI tool(s) in your work by clearly indicating the parts of the work that are generated by AI and including details such as the AI tool(s) used, the input prompts and how the generated response was used.

You are required to complete the AI Use Declaration Form on Slide 4 of the submission template and submit it together with your work.

Failure to provide acknowledgement of the use of the AI tool(s) is tantamount to plagiarism and will be dealt with in accordance with RP’s Rules and Regulations pertaining to academic integrity. Refer to Annex B on how to cite AI use.
