Assignment requirement
Students are required to critically appraise one (1) article from the pool of research articles retrieved from your searches of the chosen topic for your group presentation.
The following criteria should be included in your written assignment (Refer to the assignment rubrics for more details):
– Purpose of the critical appraisal.
– Critical appraisal of methodological quality.
– Appraise & determine the extent to which the paper has addressed the possibility of bias in its design, conduct, and analysis.
– Identifies strengths/limitations (weaknesses) of the appraised article in relation to its methodological quality.
– include/ exclude/ or seek further information before deciding to include the synthesis paper. Accuracy and explicit justification.
– Applicability.

1) This individual assignment carries a weighting of 50%.
2) The due date of this individual assignment is on 26 January 2024, Friday, 5 pm via Brightspace (BS).
3) The word limit of this individual assignment is 1500 words, including in-text citations. It is acceptable to be 10% above or below this word limit. Content exceeding the word limit will not be graded.
4) Provide at least nine (9) references to support your assertions and claims.
Reference articles on research studies must be related to current/contemporary studies (year 2013 to 2023) unless the studies are seminal/landmark studies.
