Project: Proposed construction of 6-story senior care and nursing home building. Introduction This is a group-based assignment. Students are to work in groups of 5.

Assuming that your assignment group is part of the Main Contractor’s project team for this construction project of a 6-story integrated single block senior care and nursing home, SCNH (Senior Care and Nursing Home) as shown below. Project costing and duration of S$20 million for 18 months (2 Jan 2021 to 30 Jun 2022) respectively. The approximate floor area of each floor is 1000 m2 and there are 3 lifts to install in the building.

For this assignment, you have to read the instructions and clarify with the respective lecturer on individual requirements for the report from pages 3-4 (item no. I to VI) during their lessons. Figure 2, Figure 3 and Figure 4 show the floor plan of the respective stories.

(I) Suitable and efficient types of precast/prestressed system (e.g. the productivity-enhancing technologies such as Prefabricated Bathroom Units (PBU) and Prefabricated Prefinished Volumetric Components (PPVC) if applicable), construction and installation method and provide the usage of different types of equipment. Describe your proposal with the reasons and state the advantages.

(II) Suitable and efficient provision and maintenance of sewerage & sanitary systems, stormwater drainage systems including the management of refuse/debris, vectors, air pollution, noise pollution, and compliances with various statutory requirements for this project.
