Leamer is to compile a learning portfolio based on what was learnt in class and applicable to their organisation. In the case in which learner does not belong to any organization, a selected actual or simulated organisation may be assigned to the learner for the completion of this assignment. In any case, the candidate should provide a brief description (such as the nature, type of industry, company sizes, key operations and WSH risks etc) of the organisation involved. The answers given should demonstrate the candidate’s ability to apply what was learnt in class to their organisation, and not reproducing the contents in the training materials in this written assessment. The portfolio shall include the following:

(LO(S)1)

Determine the context of organisation, including determining:

• Relevant internal and external issues
• Needs and expectations of interested parties
• Scope of OH&S MS

(LO(S)2)

Organise leadership participation and commitment, by assisting the management to review the OH&S policy to ensure it meets the SS ISO45001 requirement. Learners should use their own organizational WSH policy (attach a copy in the assignment submission) for the review except in cases where such policy is not available. The review should include at least two improvement recommendations, with justification on how they would better meet the relevant SS ISO45001 and organizational requirement.

(LO(S)3)

Set at least two (2) WSH objectives for the organisation. These shall include the full description of objectives statements and an illustration of how they would align with the organisational WSH policy.

(LO(S)4)

In a tabulated format or otherwise, identify the OH&S competency required for at least five (5) types of jobs functions within the organisation that affects or can affect its OH&S performance. (Such jobs functions may include and not limited to risk management leader, top management, supervisor, technician, workers, drivers, cleaners, maintenance, safety personnel etc.). Provide a brief explanation on how these competency needs are determined.

Provide an outline of a framework for the organisational emergency preparedness and response plan. (Note: learners are not required submit a full emergency response plan.)

(LO(S)7)

Recommend at least 2 performance measurements and monitoring procedures to measure and monitor WSH performance. These shall include at least one reactive and one proactive measurement and should be aligned with the objective in item 2 above.

(LO(S)8)

Submit an internal audit programme and an internal audit plan in the organisation’s preparation for the bizSAFE Star certification.

(LO(S)9)

Propose how would you organise a Management Review Meeting for the OH&S Management System. This should at least include:

• Composing a meeting invitation, which shall include the invitees (stating their designation, or roles in the OH&S MS), time (duration), venue etc.
• The meeting agenda, including the list of iterns that should be presented for review or discussion
• A list of items/information that needs to be prepared and collate for the meeting
• The types of information and when would you send them to the meeting invitees.
• The outputs from meeting that you expect achieve.

The organization (with input and output) of the meeting shall be aimed at meeting the relevant requirement in the SS ISO 45001: 2018 Standard requirement in Management Review

Provide an outline of accident/incident investigation and reporting process applicable to the organisation. This may take the form of a flowchart, accident reporting/investigation form etc.

Submit a WSH management system implementation plan for the organisation. The plan should cover the elements of the WSH management system to be implemented. Learners may use the template attached here to develop the implementation plan.

(LO(S)13)

Propose how you would present the implementation plan to at least 3 types of relevant stakeholders.
