The purpose of this assessment is to assess students’ understanding of innovation in the sharing economy. In particular, students need to demonstrate their knowledge and understanding of how open innovation is applied in the sharing economy. In the report, students will elaborate on

(1) why open innovation is critical for the modern enterprise,

(2) the characteristics of the sharing economy, and

(3) how open innovation can be facilitated in the sharing economy. An example or examples need to be provided to strengthen the arguments. Students are required to use relevant references to justify their statements.
