You are required to give your proposal with good justification on the following airport systems/facilities required for the new airport terminal using the following parameters.
• Airport passenger capacity: 15 million passenger movements per annum (15 MPA)
• Hourly peak departure passenger capacity – 2500
• Hourly peak arrival passenger capacity – 2000
• Hourly peak aircraft movements – 25
• Hourly peak departure movements – 17
• Hourly peak arrival movements – 18
• Historical baggage / passenger ratio – 1.5 : 1
• Expected number of operating airlines – 23 (18 full-service carriers and 5 low-cost carriers)
• Expected main aircraft types – B777 (25%), B787 (20%), B737 (10%), A350 (20%), A330 (10%), A320 (10%), ATR72 (5%)
• Approximate size of a check-in counter – 6 sqm
• Rate of counter check-in process – 15 to 30 passengers per hour
• Approximate size of a self-service kiosk – 1.5 sqm
• Rate of kiosk check-in process – 30 to 60 passengers per hour
