In an effort to stay open during the covid lockdown, an art museum has requested your help them digitalize the museum in the Metaverse and stay open to the public virtually by offering online educational excursion tours.

The museum is a two-story building that showcases art pieces with different stories behind the paintings. They want visitors to immerse themselves remotely and tour the art installations to enjoy the story behind the paintings, through visual and audio narratives on top of other user interfaces like email functionality and the ability to order both artwork paper prints and sculpture replicates to be delivered to them offline.

You are required to develop an interactive tour VR application for visitors to explore the museum with a 360-degree view.

The visitors can navigate from one room to the next to interact with the art pieces and learn more about the artist and the paintings.

The visitors can also access additional details related to the artworks and the artist, and email these details to themselves or their friends to invite them to visit too.

Additionally, the visitors can also click to order paper prints and sculpture replicates of the artworks to be sent to them offline.

Create an interesting and immersive VR experience that utilizes VR controls and menus to allow easy navigation and interaction.

You can use actual panorama photos from any museum.

You can add other exciting features to aid the visitors’ navigation with an interactive map, for them to visit specific exhibits directly or visit special groups of artworks by certain artists on display.

Apply fundamental design techniques you have learned and develop a VR application that covers the following features:

• Make use of motion tracking to track where the user is looking and accumulate eyeball points to each artwork so that the museum can summarise which artworks are attracting the most interest from the visitors.
• Make use of button interaction to implement a simple interaction scheme.
• Implement a splash screen showing the title of your game, your name, and your id.
• From the splash screen, the player should be able to read some instructions and storyline and click on a button to start the game.
• Display 360-degree photos to immerse the player in.
• Allow the player to interact with virtual objects in 360-degree photos (e.g., doors, pathways, menu actions, virtual characters, etc.).
• From the application, the player should be given the option to directly visit certain exhibits or end the tour.
• The application should be deployed on a Google Cardboard device.
