Recognise the importance of applying relevant concepts and theories that you learned in the course to convince your target audience about debunking your selected myth. Describe these concepts and theories of psychology and apply them to your infographic.

Note: There are penalties for not adhering to the guidelines for the shareable link and image presented in the TMA document. Refer to the Marks Allocation table for more information.

Getting started:

• Select one of the myths and conduct your research on the topic to find reliable sources that will help you debunk it.
• Read widely to gain a good understanding of the topic concerned and consider psychological theories and concepts that explain why it is a myth. Start with your eTextbook and search for academic journal articles using Google Scholar or our SUSS Library via Canvas (avoid internet sources such as Wikipedia, blog sites or blog posts, unpublished or online articles with no publication date (n.d.), student thesis/papers, academic resources from other universities/colleges, etc.).
• Identify research findings that support the debunking of the myth – these are empirical/scientific evidence to support your stance.
• Aim to educate your target audience about why it is a myth and not a fact. Your explanations should be illustrated in the infographic in a way that will convince the viewer that it is a myth.
• There is no need for citations in the infographic unless a specific research study is cited, in which case, state the researcher(s) and year of publication within brackets:
  − 1 researcher: (Surname, year)
  − 2 researchers: (Surname1 & Surname2, year)
  − More than 2 researchers: (Surname1 et al., year)

Part 2: Annotated Bibliography

Following the APA referencing format, present a list of the top 5 sources you relied on to prepare your infographic. For each reference item, annotate a short note (no more than 100 words each) explaining its relevance to preparing your infographic.
