Overview
This is the first unit in PSS221 Urban Resilience and Security. This unit aims to introduce terminology and concepts associated with urban resilience. It will look at where security fits into the holistic framework. It will also look at personal security from the perspective of urban resilience.

• Chapter 1: Overview of Urban Resilience introduces the terminology and discusses the various elements and concepts to be considered. Where security fits into this framework will also be discussed.

• Chapter 2: Personal Security provides an overview of how personal security relates to urban security and how this can be incorporated into urban planning.
