“Understanding physical inactivity and its causes.”

Research Problem:

• Conservative estimates among low to high-income countries indicate that between 1–3% of national health care expenditures are attributable to physical inactivity. (WHO, 2020)
• In 2016, Singapore has the highest prevalence of physical inactivity (36.5%) among high-income Asia Pacific countries. (Guthold et al.,2018)
• The costs of physical inactivity continue to rise, contributing to further negative impact on health systems, the environment, economic development, community well-being, and quality of life for all.
