ASSESSMENT ITEM 3: DESCRIPTION
This assessment aims to evaluate how students critically assess the strategic importance of HRM in light of the seismic shift in employment landscape brought about by changes in the external environment in the last few years. The focus is on best practices and HRM initiatives that contribute to organisational effectiveness, sustainability, and innovation.
The assessment should be in the form of analysis. Students should address the following in the case study report:

Identify (at least) three (3) dominant HRM issues/challenges faced.

In analysing and addressing the dominant HRM issues, students should use (1) related theoretical frameworks or lessons taught in the lectures or used in the recommended textbook and (2) statistics and figures to demonstrate the importance of issue.

Decide which issue is the most pertinent or significant. Explain why with supporting information.

Explain how this problem can be solved in the short term (within the next six months) and in the long-term (for the next two to three years);

Include any adverse pitfalls from the recommendation that may potentially have a negative impact, and offer constructive counter strategies to resistance.

For the other two issues – Discuss briefly plausible courses of action or recommendations.
