Imagine that five months have passed since the case described above. Ashley has shown tremendous progress. If her performance continues, she can be promoted to Junior Agent, which also comes with a modest pay raise. Although Ashley still has certain struggles, she has made specific progress. This includes her devoted effort to study up about finance and investment strategies, making her a well-informed agent. She has also gained control of her nervousness and now speaks to clients warmly and with a sincere tone in her voice. She also does not get defensive when questioned or rejected by clients. These are certain behaviors expected of a good agent that she should continue to do more of.

You understand that feedback that managers give self-motivated employees can have a significant impact on their future motivation and performance. Having just learned about his success in the big project, you want to praise John to reinforce his motivation.
