Aging in Place: Assignment Instructions

8 in 10 older adults prefer to age in their current homes. Due to increasing social needs amongst older adults, is this even possible? Discuss.

Students are to discuss 1 advantage of ageing well in their current homes and provide 2 disadvantages of living alone in their own environment.

The assignment must include the following:

• Discuss ageing well in Singapore.
• Describe and discuss advantages and disadvantages of the topic above.
• Provide solutions if possible, drawing in pointers from evidence based materials.
• Summarize the key points and conclude by drawing on the information discussed above. Do not introduce new information in the conclusion.
• The written assignment must reflect critical analysis and show evidence of wide reading by drawing evidence from journal articles and books.
