•  Your relationship with your family members: for example, the amount of time you spend with family members on a daily or weekly basis, the activities that you and your family members do together. How close you are with your family members and what ‘family’ means to you.
• Any other characteristics that you deem as sociologically relevant, significant, and/or interesting to include in your family’s ‘factsheet’.

Compare and contrast your family’s ‘facts’ with those of another family that you know of (e.g. through your personal contacts), or that you know about (from any other information source) with traits or ’facts’ that are different from yours.

Apply sociological theories and concepts that you have learned in this course to explain:

• How the similarities and/or differences between the ‘fact sheet’ of your family and that of the other family might have accounted for the different lifestyles, opportunities, or sociocultural experiences of family members in each case.
• The implications of these similarities and/or differences with regards to the definitions or meanings of ‘family’.

You should frame your discussion using sociological arguments (theories and concepts) to explain the emerging trends in family diversities in Singapore and the impacts of socio-demographic, cultural, and political factors on family changes. More importantly, you should analyze how these reflect deeper sociological issues, like gender roles and social inequalities.
