Only the rights enumerated in Part IV of the Constitution are recognized in Singapore, as Part IV is exhaustive.

The ‘constitutional bargain’ acts to limit the exercise of Part IV rights.

Solidarity rights such as those found  n the Indonesian constitution do not exist in the Singapore Constitution.

Some of the fundamental liberties enumerated in the Constitution may be claimed by Singapore citizens only.
