Define the financial sector, and briefly discuss the history of the financial center in that chosen country, and its development into the status today.

• What are the Financial services available in (Country)?

Do not simply list down the services, provide some discussion on the main/most important services that contribute most to the economy.

• The Role of Stock Exchange

Regulating listed companies, providing listing guidelines, etc. be specific to discussing the stock exchange in that country.

• The Role of Central Bank in developing the financial sector

Give an overview of the function of the central bank, supervising the bank industry, leading to the development of the financial sector.

• The Roles and Operations of the various Financial intermediaries/Institutions.

CSI: eg. pension funds. general discussion first, followed by specific discussion.

Investment intermediaries: eg. brokerage firms. general discussion first, followed by specific discussion.

• What is the role of the government in corporate governance?

Is corporate governance implemented in the country, briefly describing corporate governance, if the government is active or passive (enforcement) in the implementation?

• How do businesses implement (and whether it is effective) corporate governance?

Look for a public listed company, look at the website for information about corporate governance in that company.

• Recent economic development in (Country).

Compare economy activity/condition one year ago and now.
