One-Page Report: Analysis of Performance

Interview someone you know who needs to perform (in sports, performing arts, work, school, etc.) to find out more about the factors that influence performance for that person. In your interview, you should apply Cotterill’s (2017) performance model to identify the following factors that influence the performance for your interviewee:

1) Environmental factors
2) State factors
3) Personalised performance strategies
4) Cognition
5) Confidence

Apply your understanding of peak performance and analyse how the five factors influence performance specifically for the person. Design two practical and personalised strategies to help the performer to improve their performance.

Present your findings in a concise one-page report, written in point form. In your report, you should have the following headings:

1) Overview (10 marks):
Set the stage and explain who you interviewed and what kind of performance he/she needs to do.

2) Performance Factors:
Analyses how the five factors influence
performance, clearly stating examples as cited by the performer and using empirical evidence to support your points.

3) Recommendations:
Suggest two strategies that can be used to improve performance, with empirical evidence to support your claims.
As a one-page report, you do not need to adhere to APA style, but you should use APA referencing in your write-up (i.e., in-text citations) and in your reference list. Note that you should be writing in point-form for this assignment.
