Informational Poster

Please read the following scenario and design a one-page A4 informational poster on mental- health and well-being:

You are the project manager of a small, motivated, and close-knit team working in a fast-paced consulting company. Last month, your team took on a big project with a highly demanding client. Your team members have been working long hours and are tasked to meet tight deadlines. Some of your colleagues have shared that they feel down and exhausted in recent weeks. You have also noticed that fewer people are keen on going for team lunches
together. Others have described feeling fearful about failing to meet the client’s high expectations.

As the project manager of the team, you are concerned about the mental health of your fellow colleagues. Since they are busy and unlikely to read a lengthy report, you would like to display a succinct one-page A4 informational poster in the office on mental health issues in stressful work situations.

In the poster, you must address the following:
1. Identify possible common mental health conditions that you would like your team to be aware of.
2. Describe factors in your team’s situation that positively or negatively influence their mental health.
3. Appraise strategies that your team members can adopt and ways in which they may seek help to improve their mental health.

Additional instructions:
• Please use a minimum font size of 12.

• You do not need to adhere to any document page margin.
• You may write in both point-form statements and in full sentences.
• You are free to use graphical elements and colors to make your poster visually appealing.
• You may design your poster in either portrait or landscape format.
• Include in-text citations in your poster.
• Include a minimum of at least 5 academic references.
• Your reference list should be provided on a separate page.
• Please save and upload your poster as a .pdf file.

Essay Question

This question contains three sub-parts based on the scenario below:

You are having lunch with three of your friends, Alan, Zhiwen, and Danial. Zhiwen, a university student in her mid-twenties, is the eldest child with two younger brothers who are still in secondary school. Her parents have just finalised a hostile divorce a few months ago and Zhiwen’s mother received joint custody with her ex-husband of the two under-aged children. Her mother was diagnosed with depression during the divorce proceedings. She now works from home as a content writer for a local website that does not provide a stable monthly income. Zhiwen works part-time as a tutor to supplement their family’s income. They stay in a 2-room flat where Zhiwen shares a room with her mother, and the two boys sleep in the living room whenever they stay at her place. Zhiwen has been less active on your WhatsApp group chat for the past few weeks. Prior to the lunch outing, she mentioned in your group chat that she had been facing problems at home.

Demonstrate basic competencies of group facilitation by writing an essay explaining your decision. Provide an elaboration of how you would respond to better support your selected option.
Note: There is no one correct answer, although some options might be better than others. Marks will be awarded based on your critical reasoning skills.

(b) Select how you would respond to the conversation with one of the following options:
A. Have you been feeling like this for some time?
